Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum

– One Pillar Pagoda: This unique pagoda, shaped like a lotus blossom emerging from the water, is a symbol of purity and resilience. It was built in the 11th century by Emperor Ly Thai Tong as an offering to the goddess of mercy.

 Continuing – Temple of Literature:

The Temple of Literature, known as Van Mieu in Vietnamese, is a symbol of Vietnam’s educational and cultural heritage. Founded in 1070 during the Ly Dynasty, it served as Vietnam’s first national university. The temple complex is dedicated to Confucius and honors scholars and literature.

Exploring  B52 Museum:

The B52 Museum, officially named Huu Tiep Lake and B52 Museum, is located in the Ba Dinh district of Hanoi. It displays the wreckage of a B52 bomber shot down during the Vietnam War in 1972. The museum offers insights into the war’s impact on Vietnam and its people.

Hoa Lo Prison:

Hoa Lo Prison, often referred to as the “Hanoi Hilton” by American POWs, is a historic site in Hanoi, Vietnam. Originally built by the French in the late 19th century, it was used to imprison Vietnamese political dissidents during colonial rule. Later, during the Vietnam War, it housed American prisoners of war, including Senator John McCain.

Today, a portion of the prison has been preserved as a museum, showcasing its grim history through exhibits of shackles, torture instruments, and life-size models of prisoners. It serves as a powerful reminder of Vietnam’s colonial past and the resilience of its people.

Egg Coffee Tasting:

Tasting egg coffee in Hanoi is a must-try experience! This unique Vietnamese coffee, known as cà phê trứng, was invented in the 1940s at Café Giảng. It features a creamy, frothy egg yolk mixture whisked with sugar and condensed milk, sitting atop a strong shot of Vietnamese coffee. The result is a rich, velvety drink that tastes like a sweet coffee custard.

You can find egg coffee at famous spots like Café Giảng, Đinh Café. Whether you enjoy it hot or iced, it’s a delightful way to experience Hanoi’s vibrant coffee culture!
